As can be seen from the development of the name Yahshuah over 6000 years, from Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics, through Canaanite, Phoenician, Hebrew and later Greek & Latin and then to English, this name has much historical significance.

It should be also, evidently clear, why this unique Name Yahshuah, is of particularly significance and is a most Holy & Sacred name, to be used by African or other people, in the 21st Century.

Furthermore, from the original  three African – Egyptian – Hieroglyphic symbols, the Hand, Water & Ox, we find much symbolic meaning that gives us a special connection to the Name and who it describes, the Hand of God, his Salvation, the Water as His Spirit & the Ox or Lamb of God, Sacrificed, to Redeem, humankind.

The oldest use of Yah or Iah, for a name of God, was first used by the Ancient Egyptian, as an aspect of the moon, Khonsu.  This term was barrowed by Canaanites and later Hebrews, both of whom, originally and historically centred their worship of God, upon a lunar deity.

The Egyptian word, sound and symbol for Shu (shin), has much importance and a very special significance and relevance to African people, when used in the name of Yahshuah, as this Word,  symbolised by Water, is also a symbol, for air, breath and spirit.

The word Ah, was commonly used throughout Ancient Egyptian history and religion, it is connected to the Egyptian word Yah or Iah, meaning God, however often shortened to ah when applied to a person’s name, notably Pharaoh’s, such as Ah Menes or Ahmose.

This Oriental Tradition, Faith & Unity, was again renewed in assembly, for the first time since 451AD, at the Addis Ababa Conference, (CLICK HERE) held in Ethiopia in 1965AD, which was called and hosted by H.I.M Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, for which he was made, The Defender of the Oriental Faith.

It is upon the successful convening of this historical conference and the resolutions made therein that the Temple of Yahshuah website has been developed.
