Discovering The Temple Within Us

Prepare and Plan Your Journey

Now, before we begin our journey to discover the Temple Within, first we must understand; What this Temple is? Where to find it? How to find it? and then; How to develop, and maintain it?

1. What is this, Temple?

The Temple within, is an actual and literal aspect of the human being, where The Divine Creator dwells and works from, to accomplish His Divine Will.

Paul tells us that,

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?"

1 Co 3:16

He further states that,

"If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are".

1 Co 3:17

Paul goes on to ask,

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God;

2 Co 6:16

In summary therefore The Human Body, Person or Being, is the Temple of God. This temple is holy, and God dwells there. This temple although being holy, can also be defiled, resulting in the host being destroyed, by God. It is also important to note that,

“God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands”;

Acts 17:224

2. Where is this, Temple?

The Temple of Yahshuah Website is also built upon the fundamental premise that within every single human being, without exception, there is a Temple of God.

Haile Selassie I, tells us that,

“The Temple of the Most High begins with the Human Body, which houses our life, essence of our existence”.

Paul also tells us that,

"What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"

1Co 6:19

And, as God hath said,

“ I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people”.

2 Co 6:16

In summary therefore this Temple begins with the body, which is also referred to here as the Temple of the Holy Spirit (Ghost) and can be found inside of the human body. This is where this Holy Spirit resides, hence the name, which belongs to God. It should be noted also that God also dwells there, who is the Holy Spirit.

3. How to find this, Temple?

Now, although we know that this Temple exists, what it is and where it is located? We still need to know, how to find it and how to get there? This means we need directions.

Yahshuah tells us to,

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you”:

Mat 7:7

The above Yahshuah quote, although seldom associated with searching for the Temple of God, in oneself, is however a direct reference to this Temple, and fundamental to this endeavour.

Yahshuah continues,

"For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened".

Mat 7:8

In both these above Yahshuah quotes taken from Matthew, chapter 7, verses 7 and 8, can be found the KEY, to searching, finding, and eventually opening the door to The Temple of God, the Temple of the Holy Spirit (Ghost) as it is also called, and in particular,

The Temple of Yahshuah, translated as The Temple of God’s Salvation, which is in each and every one of us.

The most obvious indication that Yahshuah is explicitly speaking about this Temple, is the final action and outcome, the Knocking of the Door, and its Opening.

What other building with a door, could he be referring to, other than a Temple Door, Your Temple Door.

In summary then, we must first ask God, the Holy Spirit, to help us to find this Temple, meaning our Temple. Then we can start our journey of discovery, with Yahshuah Karast Mesu, Immanuel, Musa, Ta Mar-Re-Yam (Jesus Christ the Messiah, or God’s Salvation, & God’s Spirit in Man; God with us; Son of the Earth, Mary the Mother of the Light of God), through the Holy Spirit of God, One God, Amun, as our Guide. Then when we eventually get to the Temple door, and knock it, God, who is already there on the inside, will open our Temple to us. When we have found our Temple, then begins the hard part, developing and maintaining it.

4. How to develop and maintain this Temple?

Now, although we do hold that this temple is, and can be found in all humans, it is evident that this temple, is not easily found.  We also believe that without the proper due care, consideration, and attention, meaning living a virtuous and righteous life, this temple no longer functions as an intended temple, but now as a Public House; a Night Club; a Bank or some other type of venue or building that brings a physical sense of fulfilment to its host, likened to living a worldly or sinful life. As a result, this Temple is often dormant and in complete darkness. This is due primarily, to its proprietor’s way of thinking, their behaviour, their mind-set, and how they do and see things.

Our Guide, Yahshuah warns,

“But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!”

Mat 6:23

Again, Yahshuah warns,

“Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness”.

Luke 11:35

Therefore, we must first find the temple and its door before we can even begin to develop it.

It also stands to reason therefore that if by having an evil eye, our body or this Temple is engulfed in total darkness and even the light that we think we have, can also be darkness, then we must first find a light that will enable us to see where we are going, in this darkness.

Luckily, Yahshuah informs us that,

“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light”.

Mat_6:22

Yahshuah assures us therefore that a light in our body will be switched on or lit, when our Eye is Single, or whole, as it is sometimes translated. In opposition to having an evil Eye and be in darkness.

Yahshuah tell us further that,

“If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light”.

Luk_11:36

Therefore, it is with this Single Eye that acts as a candle, which lights up our whole body, so we can see things clearly that enables us, in the first instance to find our Temple.  It therefore also stands to reason that when we do find this Temple, we must also keep this eye single to develop and maintain it.

To this end and to both light this candle to find your Temple, and then develop and maintain your Temple once found, we recommend that you adhere strictly to Yahshuah’s Law, one of the Triple-fold laws of this Temple, which states,

“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets”.

Mat 22:37-40

So, to discover and maintain the Temple of God within yourself, you must FOCUS, your Heart, Soul & Mind (Single Eye) upon Love for God, Your Fellow human being and yourself.

And on a final note, and in summary of this Journey to Discover the Temple of God within us, the Master Teacher, The Shepherd, and our Temple Guide Yahshuah tells us as a means of assuring our success in these endeavours to,

“seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”.

Mat 6:33
